As with all of our programs, the primary emphasis is on fun and safety on the water. Seasoned Sailing combines sailing with shore-side sailing-related S.T.E.M. activities. There is an emphasis on taking a leadership role and watching out for the safety of your fellow sailors, too! This class primarily sails: Sail Cube, Byte, Pico, & Laser sailboats
The STEM course is an exciting combination of sailing and science camp. During this two-week course, participants get a thorough introduction to sailing but also take time to explore the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics behind it all. The course utilizes the REACH curriculum, developed by US Sailing, and the great outdoors to provide hands-on and interactive lessons. Participants will learn about wind and tide patterns, how and why boats float, use of simple machines, and environmental stewardship (just to name a few). You don't need pen and paper for these lessons, all of our activities are hands on and engaging. Like all of our programs, we also include fun and empowering games to help our campers develop into critical thinkers and leaders in our community. No prior sailing experience is needed for this course.

Feva Sailing Camp is for the thrill-seeking sailor who has mastered the skills taught in Seasoned Sailing Camp, and is ready for a faster and more agile boat. Feva Camp begins with a quick review of the basics, transitioning previous skills onto new vessel.
The RS Feva Sailboats came to ACSC as part of US Sailing's Siebel Sailors Program, so this camp employs a curriculum, a set of values, a standardized skill rubric, and teaching style created by the National Siebel Sailing Coaching Staff. The boat and the program were specifically designed to keep adolescents engaged in sailing and to build lifelong sailors.
