Discover SailingAge: 7 -12 years old
This class primarily sails: Sail Cube sailboats |
Discover Sailing, "Disco" for short, is a two-week introduction for novices and those with less experience on the water. During this fun, full day camp, participants learn the basics of sailing a small youth boat (safety, rigging, launching, maneuvering, etc.). Emphasis is on having fun and being safe around the water while making new friends. Participants enjoy activities and games both on and off the water. The program focuses on empowering and developing children to be enthusiastic sailors AND to be confident in their everyday lives.

Seasoned SailingAge: 8 -12 years old
This class primarily sails: Sail Cube sailboats |
Seasoned Sailing is for returning or intermediate sailors who have mastered the basics. It starts with a refresher, then transitions to new skills like close-quarters boat handling, sail theory, and distance sailing. The emphasis is on fun and safety on the water. Seasoned Sailing combines sailing with shore-side STEM activities. Seasoned sailors begin to take a leadership role and watch out for the safety of their fellow sailors too! Sailors gain confidence and pride as their skills improve and as they move towards independence on the water.

Feva SailingAge: 11-14 years old
This class primarily uses: RS Feva sailboats |
Feva Sailing is for the intermediate sailor who has mastered the skills taught in Seasoned Sailing Camp, and is ready for a faster and more agile boat. It begins with a review the basics, transitioning current skills onto new vessel. As sailors develop confidence, they practice new maneuvers and sail to new destinations.
The RS Feva sailboat and this program were specifically designed to keep adolescents engaged in sailing and to build lifelong sailors. |
Beginner Teen SailingAge: 13 -16 years old
This class primarily uses: Club Flying Junior (CFJ) & Laser sailboats |
Beginner Teen Sailing is for all teens, regardless of sailing experience. The program focuses on fostering a love for the outdoors and the water. Participants learn the basics in a fun and supportive environment. In this unique course, once the basics have been covered, the class guides the rest of the journey! Instructors can teach advanced sailing skills and plan destination sails or lead the STEM curriculum and provide hands-on science activities. The possibilities are endless and the experience is one of a kind. We aim to build engaged, conscientious teens who want to help guide their own experience and form lasting connections with their peers.
