In Memory of Janifer Watson: Continuing Her Impact Through Generosity
"With sadness, we mourn the passing of our mother, JANIFER "JAN" WATSON. Jan died at the age of 86 after a brief illness she lived most of her life in Pinole, California, moving to Vacaville after retirement.
From the early 80s to the time she moved north she was an active member of the Alameda Yacht club . Although she never owned her own sailboat she crewed with many friends. Her most loved destination was the San Francisco Bay, although she sailed in Lake Merritt and even raced off Catalina Island.
She spent many hours in conjunction with the Alameda yacht club, teaching kids, the joy and skill of sailing
We hope her legacy continues and a gift in honor of her name would have made her very happy
