The ILCAs Came to Town!

October 13th through 15th:
ACSC hosted the ILCA Master Nationals Championship... AKA a BIG Laser regatta and it was a great success!
The racers enjoyed three glorious days of warm weather and a mellow breeze on the South SF Bay with an outstanding Race Committee.
The sailors had a great dinner Friday night at the The Rake to show off a bit of Alameda, then Ala Mediterranean catered dinner at the ACSC site Saturday. There was a fun raffle for all the awesome swag donated by sponsors West Coast Sailing, Vela LA, and International Sailing Academy (a PV Mexico-based Laser coaching center).
Five ACSC staff members got the opportunity to help out on Race Committee, which gave them some valuable race-management experience. The race course was shifty so they were kept busy moving marks around, along with 10 other RC volunteers. 
A HUGE thank you to Race Committee and all the volunteers who made this event possible. You rock! 
We can't wait to welcome the ILCAs back to ACSC for another wonderful regatta!
